We specialize in trauma-informed counselling, where psychological symptoms are viewed and treated as a natural response to unhealed trauma.
At INDIGROW, traumatic experiences are defined as any life event or circumstance that exceeded a person’s ability to cope with what happened. Trauma can be defined as the resulting emotional, physical, or behavioural manifestation of the traumatic experience. These experiences change neural connections in our brain and this impacts our relationship with ourselves, others, and how we create meaning in the world.
Individual Counselling
We tailor each session to best address the individual needs of our clients, working with you to honour your story, build on your strengths, heal your trauma, and help you meet your goals.
Couples Counselling
We aim to teach communication skills, and work collectively to resolve conflict in a way that deepens connection, and creates a secure attachment as you navigate life’s milestones together. All relationships are welcome and affirmed.
Child, Youth, and Family Counselling
We are passionate about supporting children, youth and families through individual therapy, parenting support sessions, and family therapy. We work to empower families, and foster the growth of each individual family member. We meet the developmental needs of every child and youth, often using art and play-based activities.
