Our Services
All services offered are fully trauma-informed
Individual Counselling
We tailor each session to best address the individual needs of our clients, working with you to honour your story, build on your strengths, heal your trauma, and help you meet your goals.
We specialize in trauma informed counselling; this approach views psychological symptoms as a natural response to unhealed trauma. Focus is placed on healing the past traumatic event(s) in order to alleviate psychological symptoms, unhealthy relationship dynamics, and dysfunctional behavioural patterns.
Couples Counselling
Working to maintain, improve, or repair any relationship can be challenging without support. We acknowledge that each relationship is unique; our practitioners are trained in a variety of approaches to support a wide range of concerns and help clients overcome issues that have created disconnection.
We aim to teach communication skills, and work collectively to resolve conflict in a way that deepens connection, and creates a secure attachment as you navigate life’s milestones together. All relationships are welcome and affirmed.
Child, Youth, and Family Counselling
We are passionate about supporting children, youth and families through individual therapy, parenting support sessions, and family therapy. We work to empower families, and foster the growth of each individual family member.
We meet the developmental needs of every child and youth, often using art and play-based activities. Our therapists are trained in attachment-based approaches, understanding that all behaviour is a form of communication and that attachment needs are often at the core of any challenging behaviours. With the consent of our clients, we collaborate with school supports, Paediatricians, mentors and other important people in the lives of our clients to ensure consistency in the support provided to our clients across all settings.
We understand that all challenges occur within a context and we work to incorporate social and cultural factors into our work with clients.
Supporting Disabilities
We are able to provide specialized support to individuals with disabilities. Several team members at INDIGROW are approved FSCD and PDD providers and have extensive experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, and complex medical concerns.
We tailor each individual session to best meet the developmental level of our clients, working from a systemic, collaborative and strengths-based perspective. With the consent of our clients, we collaborate with family members, school supports, FSCD workers and PDD workers to ensure consistency in the support provided to our clients across all settings.
